10:23 am. Andrin Frey SUI FX: Front double full to double front, small hop forward. Front full to front double pike, ugh, sits it. Double double. 2.5 to a flared and clean front layout. Full-twisting double tuck with a step forward. 13.166

10:21 am. Yumin Abbadini ITA HB: Tak full, Tak half, Kolman, stalder Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, hop full, inbar, stalder, and a double double layout with a little hop! Beautiful work.

10:20 am. Glenn Trebing hit pommels! 13.633. Happy for him.

10:18 am. Krisztian Balazs HUN PH: Solid enough to start off the team with a hit, had a moment where he lost his knee form, IIRC it was in his traveling elements, but brought it back quickly and gets into the dismount well.

10:17 am. James Hall GBR PB: Really good routine here, just slight adjustments on a couple of elements but overall solid.

10:15 am. Glenn Trebing is still on the start list for pommel horse so I assume he’s okay enough!

10:14 am. Paul Degouy FRA FX: Front double pike, front full to double front, hit the third pass, something to front layout IIRC, little wobble on the double full, arabian double front to finish. 13.600

10:11 am. Germany also had to count an 11.366 from Lucas Kochan on floor, really rough rotation for them after doing so well on the first three events.

Nicolau Mir only put up a 12.933 on p-bars.

Italy counted a 13.733 from Nicola Bartolini, 13.833 from Lorenzo Casali, and 14.6 from Matteo Levantesi!

10:08 am. Paul Degouy FRA HB: Yamawaki to Gienger, nice, Tak half was almost in handstand, layout Tkachev, blind change to L grip to Tak full, another almost handstand there, stalder, hop full, full-twisting double layout with a strong landing. 13.333

Before him, France had a 12.966 from Julien Saleur and a 12.466 from Leo Saladino.

10:07 am. Replay of Jake Jarman’s vault! Kaz 2.5, huge, step forward but oh my god, that was awesome.

10:05 am. Marco Pfyl SUI HB: Cassina, slight leg separation, layout Tkachev, followed by a straddle, blind change to Yamawaki, Rybalko was a bit late and crooked, Tak full went SUPER wild, legs fully fly apart and he finishes with his swing in the wrong direction. Full-twisting double layout with a step forward.

10:04 am. Piked Dragulescu from Adem Asil was great in the air, little hop back.

10:03 am. Nestor Abad ESP PB: Did some nice work at the start, Tippelt had nice air and a lovely press, arched over on the half turn out of it, Bhavsar, double front with a hop. 14.066

10:02 am. Botond Kardos with a 14.1 on floor!

10:00 am. Some more vaults scores and THEY’RE EXCITING!

Courtney Tulloch, who had a serious allergic reaction to nuts yesterday and almost couldn’t do the final, goes 14.6, then Adem Asil goes 15.233, and finally Jake Jarman goes 15.2! OKAY!

9:58 am. Glenn Trebing GER FX: Front full to double front lands OOB. 2.5 lands awkwardly, and he puts his hands down, then tests his ankle or knee. Big stumble back OOB on the pass after that. Triple full ends up really short with a hop forward. And he’s hurt. Sits off the side of the mat and calls for the trainer. 10.900

9:57 am. Ahmet Önder with a 14.0 on vault, looks like a step OOB. Just saw a replay, barely got the rotation around in the Kaz 1.5 and took a big step off the mat.

13.166 for Krisztian Balazs on floor.

9:56 am. Nicola Bartolini ITA PB: Wasn’t paying super close attention to this but saw the whole thing, mostly lovely work, just a couple of slight hand adjustments, and he stuck the double pike dismount.

9:55 am. Giarnni Regini Moran goes 14.9 on vault! Hopefully we’ll see some replays of these. Oh, here’s the replay. Kaz double, nearly stuck it!! Moves like, one heel, slightly.

9:53 am. Moreno Kratter SUI HB: Tak half, clean Kovacs, Kolman, stalder 1.5 was a bit wild but he gets it around, full-twisting double layout with a little hop. 13.533

Ferhat Arican got Turkey off to a good start on vault with a 14.2!

9:51 am. Thinking Turkey will bump up a couple of spots going to vault, while the British will extend their lead quite a bit as well.

Adem Asil TUR SR: Planche, maltese, inverted hang swings up to inverted cross, double pike to maltese, swings through to iron cross, inverted hang through to planche, angle looks a little iffy, swinging a little bit on the giant to handstand, slightly shaky in the next one, double double with two little steps back. 14.800!

9:46 am. Krisztian Balazs HUN HB: Kolman with some leg form, nice layout Tkachev to straddle Tkachev, piked Tkachev on its own, hop full was a little rushed, full-twisting double layout with a little hop back. 13.866!

9:44 am. Cameron-Lie Bernard FRA PB: Healy, transition to the single rail was excellent to handstand, Makuts, walked a little out of a full pirouette near the end, double pike with a big step back. 14.733!

9:43 am. Andreas Toba GER HB: Tak full, a little late, Tak half was better, huge Kolman, some leg form and REALLY had to reach for it, layout Tkachev maybe a little close, straddle Tkachev, hop full went well, Rybalko a little late, double double layout with a big hop back. 13.266

Krisztofer Meszaros went 13.5 on this event before him.

9:41 am. Courtney Tulloch GBR SR: Maltese, inverted giant back out to maltese, invert pike through to double pike up to handstand, lovely planche down to iron cross, invert pike to front pike into the iron cross, inverted hang through to handstand, full-twisting double layout with a lunge back. I wish he did more giant swings into his dismount, I feel like he always comes off a little low with just the one and he can never land as well. 14.633!

Ahmet Önder went 13.666 on this apparatus.

9:40 am. Seeing a replay of Nicola Bartolini’s Kaz 1.5 and it was an absolutely breathtaking Kaz 1.5, tiniest hop forward.

9:39 am. Vault scores are in!

Spain – Nicolau Mir 14.233, Rayderley Zapata 13.6, Joel Plata 14.333

Italy – Matteo Levantesi 13.7, Lorenzo Casali 14.5, Nicola Bartolini 14.5

9:38 am. Lukas Dauser GER HB: Hit the beginning, Tak half, Kovacs was good, piked Tkachev, some leg separation on both releases but it’s minor, straddle Tkachev, Rybalko finished in horizontal, Zou Li Min, one-arm giant, hop full slightly late, and a clean full-twisting double layout with a slight hop back.

Joe Fraser goes 14.1 on rings!

9:37 am. Dominic Tamsel SUI PB: Front half salto was nice, half pirouette before a clean Healy, double pike with a little hop.

Mehmet Ayberk Kosak with a 14.033 on rings, good start for Turkey!

9:36 am. Lucas Kochan got Germany off to a strong start on high bar with a 13.5!

Sadly can’t say the same for Botond Kardos of Hungary, who only had a 10.3.

9:34 am. Paul Degouy FRA PB: Legs came apart in the Makuts but he controlled it back to handstand, wild legs again on a pirouette, Tippelt was clean, double pike with a big hop back. 13.766

9:33 am. James Hall GBR SR: Hit routine to start them off! I wasn’t typing but it looked fine. 13.433

9:31 am. Joe Fraser with a 14.433 on pommel horse, another good rotation for the Brits!

9:27 am. We’re going back to watch Ahmet Önder’s pommels to torture me. Thanks, I don’t want to see it!!! Travels in Russians but just lost his rhythm and smoothly came off.

9:25 am. Glenn Trebing GER PB: Hop to handstand, basket to front pike, really has to muscle the handstand out of it, oof. Adjusts on the next cast to handstand, Makuts with some leg separation, transitions to the single rail, kip to press handstand was a little short, double pike dismount. 12.766

If you average his 12.766 and Dauser’s 15.533 you get a 14.150 so still a win for Germany here!

9:23 pm. Andrea Cingolani ITA SR: Fell out of a handstand, sadly. Just a 13.466 from him.

Krisztian Balazs HUN PB: Front straddle salto went well, Healy turn was nice, Bhavsar, adjusted his hands before the Tippelt but the press was raelly nice there. Double front dismount with a little hop.

Before him Krisztofer Meszaros got a 13.766.

9:22 am. Phew, a hit pommels for Ferhat Arican goes 14.266 and Adem Asil’s score was bumped up a tenth but their total is still just a 38.632, which is going to be hard to overcome.

9:20 am. Lukas Dauser GER PB: Basket to handstand, great work on his pirouette transitioning back and forth between single and both rails, he’s just so tight in every pirouette and handstand so far, Healy, half pirouette with a slight arch, double front half, looked like he was gonna stick it but then takes a baby bounce back. 15.533!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9:18 am. Turkey gonna Turkey. Ahmet Önder goes 12.333 on pommels.

Jake Jarman gets a good hit, though! 13.266, solid score for him.

Mostly 13s for the routines on rings so far. Highest for Spain right now is 13.633 for Nestor Abad.

9:16 am. Missed a lot of vault but looked like Benjamin Osberger was a bit off on his, had an 8.766 E and 0.3 ND. 14.333 from Paul Degouy, though!

Leo Saladino FRA VT: Kaz double full with a big step out to the side. 14.300

Noe Seifert added a 14.066 and Andrin Frey a 13.4 for the Swiss.

9:14 am. Nils Dunkel GER PB: Arches over on one of his first pirouettes, very nice straddle salto, clean swing out to handstand, Healy, mostly good there, double front half with a step. 14.066

Botond Kardos HUN PB: 14.000!

9:13 am. James Hall GBR PH: I feel like he’s been very low key at this meet and I didn’t see much of him on day one. Pommels going well for him so far, Russians, travels well, clean dismount, just more good work for him. 13.766

9:11 am. Adem Asil TUR PH: Uhhhhh, starts them off with an 11.933

I feel like Turkey always has one good day in them at big events and then is like “okay we’ve done it” and mentally checks out a bit after that, whether it’s an AA final or EFs. I was really excited the AA final was qualifications here because I thought it was the only way they’d medal hahaha.

9:09 am. Lorenzo Casali ITA SR: Planche with slight hip bend, L sit presses out to planche, love that, back to L sit. Rolls into his saltos up to straddle sit, presses to handstand again, giants to handstands go well, the first was really nice and the second swayed a little bit. Stuck the double double! 13.566

Moreno Kratter SUI VT: Huge and beautiful Kaz 1.5 with an excellent landing! 14.466!

9:03 am. Ahmet Önder TUR FX: Great landing on the front full to front double pike. 2.5 to front layout. Hop to the side on the double double. Clean double full. Full-twisting double back looked a little short. 14.233

9:01 am. Some updates for routines we’ve missed…

Just a 12.666 for Mehmet Ayberk Kosak to start Turkey on floor, while Giarnni Regini Moran got a 14.233. I suspect GBR will start out with a pretty solid lead.

Spain counted two falls on pommels, with the high score a 13.633 from Thierno Diallo. Italy has looked good there.

Low scores on rings for both Switzerland and France, but all look like hits, just not huge D from either of these teams on this apparatus.

Lukas Dauser got Germany off to a good start on vault with a 13.966, followed by a 14.066 from Andreas Toba and a 14.5 from Lucas Kochan, great rotation for them! Hungary had a couple of high 13s and then a 14.266 from Krisztofer Meszaros.

8:59 am. Jake Jarman GBR FX: Double double layout with a step back. Triple double! Stuck! 2.5 to front layout (messy) to front double full, WILD, I love that pass so much. Double full side pass. Front full to randi is a bit short with a step. Triple full with a small hop. 14.500!

8:57 am. Adem Asil TUR FX: Front full to piked double front, front layout to double front with a hop, double double with a slight hop, arabian double front with a step forward OOB. Full-twisting double back with a small hop forward. 13.900

8:56 am. Noe Seifert SUI SR: Didn’t type during most of this but he showed some really nice control, had a really lovely press handstand, double double dismount. 13.366

8:55 am. Andreas Toba GER VT: Kaz 1.5, good!

8:54 am. Joel Plata ESP PH: Lost his leg form near the end of the horse on one of his circle elements and came off, sadly. 12.200

8:52 am. Cameron-Lie Bernard FRA SR: Iron cross, saltos through to L sit, everything else was strong, clean full-twisting double layout dismount. 13.233

8:51 am. Benedek Tomcsanyi HUN VT: Kaz double full with a big step back. 13.833

8:48 am. Joe Fraser GBR FX: Piked double front with a lunge forward. Front layout to double front with a bigger lunge forward, OOB. 2.5 to rudi was nice. Double full was stuck. Arabian double front, and a full-twisting double back to finish. 13.700
