Remember that time Katy Perry went to space? Of course you do, how could you miss it?
Perry's 11-minute flight on board Blue Origin's New Shephard rocket with five other high-profile women captured headlines around the world and garnered some backlash.
But it turns out, somehow, music icon Mariah Carey completely missed the memo, only finding out about Perry's space journey in a recent interview.

Speaking on BBC Radio's The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, Carey was asked about Perry's Blue Origin space flight, which took place in April.
"Would you fancy going to space? You know, like Katy Perry did?" Scott Mills asked the Queen of Christmas.
Carey, who wore a pair of black shades during the interview, revealed she had no clue about the space trip, responding, "Did she go to space?"

Mills explained Perry did in fact go to space on the headline-grabbing Blue Origin flight.
"Where'd she go?" Carey asked, appearing an equal mix of confused and unbothered.
Mills couldn't answer exactly where the pop star went before a crew member explained that her flight went "into orbit and back".
Carey, who was clearly hearing about this for the first time, struggled to believe the news.

"And this is true?" Carey asked.
Mills confirmed he had "not made this up".
"Wow, alright Katy," Carey added.
"I'm not mad at her. That's pretty amazing."

Perry was joined by Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen and Kerianne Flynn on the historic spaceflight that marked the first all-female mission since 1963.
All six women were launched into suborbital space on April 14. The entire flight lasted around 11 minutes and was livestreamed to the world.
When Perry came back down to Earth, she revealed that she felt "super connected to life" and "so connected to love".

When Mills asked Carey if she would want to do the same thing, she politely declined.
"I think I've done enough," she said coolly.
A clip from the interview was posted to Instagram with plenty of fans sharing their praise for Carey.
"I love that Mariah just lives in her own bubble! What a queen," one fan commented .
"This is an iconic interview," commented another.
