Former President Donald Trump recently posted on Truth Social to say that Taylor Swift is no longer “hot,” claiming this change in his opinion is because he has already said he dislikes the singer.

This comment fits a pattern of changing views about Swift, showing a clear link between his public criticism of her political stance and how he now judges her looks. Trump’s post on Truth Social was short, saying, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'” He did not explain further, but the message clearly suggests he believes his negative comments caused his changed opinion of Swift’s appearance. This comes after Swift publicly supported Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election.

Her endorsement led to a strong public reaction, and Trump’s later statement about disliking Swift made the political divide even more obvious. This new comment is very different from what Trump has said about Swift’s looks in the past. The tour made over $2 billion, breaking records in the music industry, according to Variety. Forbes also named Swift the richest female musician in the world, with a net worth of $1.6 billion. These huge accomplishments make Trump’s sudden change in judging her attractiveness seem even more random compared to her undeniable success in her career.

Besides his recent Truth Social post, Trump has criticized Swift’s political involvement before. After she endorsed Harris, he told Fox News that she might face backlash in the marketplace because of it. He also made another post on Truth Social saying, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” His dislike grew stronger when he reacted to an Instagram post where Swift supported Harris, saying her endorsement was the reason for his negative feelings.

Another complicating factor in their relationship is an incident involving a fake AI-generated image of Swift that falsely claimed she endorsed Trump. While Trump said others made these images, there is clear tension involving past endorsements.
