'Living in hotels': Kevin Spacey reveals homelessness in rare interview

In a spectacular fall from grace, Kevin Spacey has disclosed in a rare interview that he is currently homeless.

Following allegations of sexual misconduct that came to light in 2017, the embattled actor has admitted he's since struggled to find work.

The once-successful star of hits such as American Beauty, House of Cards and The Usual Suspects has now described his current financial situation as "not great".

"The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I've had very little coming in and everything going out."

Spacey went on to say he had been accommodation-hopping recently.

"I'm living in hotels, I'm living in Airbnbs, I'm going where the work is. I literally have no home," he said.

This news comes a year after the star tearfully admitted he'd be forced to sell his Baltimore home and "put his things in storage" on an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Kevin Spacey breaks down in TV interview.

"I don't know where I'm going to live," the embattled actor revealed at the time.

Most recently, Spacey has been seen performing live shows in Cyprus and Tel Aviv.

With tickets priced at around $450 a head, his show Songs and Stories includes performances of 1960s classics intersected with anecdotes from his decades-long career.

The event page describes the show as "a rare chance to experience a true Hollywood star in his element – on stage, backed by a live jazz band, delivering the timeless standards that defined a generation."

Spacey has spoken passionately about his cancellation in Hollywood, using various opportunities to slam his blacklisting.

He came out swinging in Cannes earlier this year, using his acceptance speech for an award at an unaffiliated event as an opportunity to address "blacklisting culture" within the industry.

In the 10-minute spiel, the star likened his expulsion from Hollywood to that of famed screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, who was blacklisted for refusing to testify about his political affiliations in 1947.

The fallen star was found not guilty on four counts of assault in 2023, in one of the highest-profile trials to come out of the #MeToo era.

Over seven years, Spacey wracked up allegations of a similar nature from over 30 men, but has maintained his innocence.

The allegations lead to Netflix axing Spacey's role on House of Cards, ending the hit show prematurely.

Spacey was also removed from film All the Money in the World – in which he was tapped to play the lead – and replaced by The Sound of Music star Christopher Plummer.
