We're seen some huge celebrity splits this year – including some we never saw coming.
From Aussie-Kiwi golden couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban to Lily Allen and David Harbour, nine.com.au takes a look some of the biggest breakups to come out of the land of showbiz of 2025.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are two big stars nursing heartbreak this year.
In September, the pair shocked the world with news of their split after 19 years of marriage, having appeared to have one of the most stable relationships in Hollywood.
Kidman and Urban tied the knot in Sydney's Manly in 2006. They had met in 2005 at a G'Day LA event.
It seemed the Aussie screen icon had finally found her happy ever after after a previous marriage breakdown with actor Tom Cruise.

People confirmed the sad news of Kidman and Urban's separation, with a source telling the publication Kidman "didn't want this" and had been "fighting to save the marriage".
TMZ broke the news of the split, with sources claiming the Oscar winner and the musician had been living apart since the start of the northern hemisphere summer.
The day after the news made headlines, Kidman officially filed for divorce.
During their time together, rocker Urban, 57, got at least four tattoo tributes for his wife.
These include Kidman's first name on his bicep, her middle name 'Mary' on his knuckles and her initials on his wrist.
Perhaps their split was such a shock as the musician also penned a number of tracks for the actress over the years.
Lily Allen and David Harbour
Allen and Harbour married back in 2020 in Las Vegas, exchanging vows in front of an Elvis impersonator. But sadly, the relationship wasn't to last.
It was Allen's second marriage after she was married to builder ex-husband Sam Cooper from 2011 to 2018.
While Allen, 40, and Stranger Things star Harbour, 50, evaded split rumours for months, the British singer later addressed the breakup in the press.
"Two people who were once together are not together. And that's really sad ... It's hard for me to not have my person, you know?" she told The Perfect Magazine
"Guess what? The dating scene is much harder as a 40-year-old woman with two teenage children than it is for a 34-year-old woman. It's bitterly disappointing."

Her new album, West End Girl, which she wrote and recorded in 10 days, appears to address their marriage breakdown and fans believe it's about her split with Harbour.
Themes and topics on the album, which marks Allen's comeback after years away from the music industry, include her singing about an open marriage and alleged infidelity.
"There are things that are on the record that I experienced within my marriage, but that's not to say that it's all gospel," she told Vogue UK
"It is inspired by what went on in the relationship."
Neither Allen nor Harbour have publicly commented on any cheating rumours.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
In July, Katy and Orlando confirmed their shock split.
The pair, who were engaged and share a daughter together, announced the news with a joint statement.
They were together for almost 10 years.
"Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting," the statement said.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."
Since then, Perry confirmed she's dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The pair recently made things Instagram-official.
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren
In news that surprised fans, Hollywood star Jessica Alba split from ex-husband Cash Warren at the start of the year.
They tied the knot back in 2008, and despite many happy years of marriage, it wasn't forever for the pair.
On January 17, Alba announced their shock breakup, sharing a statement on Instagram to her millions of followers.
"I've been on a journey of self-realisation and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash," she wrote in her post.
