Aston Martin Racing factory driver Marco Sorensen is set for a full-season return to the FIA World Endurance Championship, having been confirmed as part of TF Sport’s lineup featuring Ben Keating.
The 2019-20 GTE World Champion will join Porsche Carrera Cup France race winner Florian Latoree and the Bronze-rated Texan at the wheel of the team’s No. 33 Aston Martin Vantage GTE in the GTE-Am class.
Keating was previously the only confirmed driver in the lineup.
“It’s great to have Marco back with us for a full season and also to welcome Florian on board,” said TF Sport boss Tom Ferrier. “We undoubtably have a very strong line up and are more than ready to battle for both the Le Mans win and the WEC title.”
Sorensen took part in only a single round of the WEC last year, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at the wheel of a High Class Racing Oreca 07 Gibson in LMP2.
“It will be great getting back in the Aston with Ben and the whole TF crew,” Sorensen said. “I am sure we will get the job done! I already know all the TF guys really well as I have raced with them before. I am motivated and ready to go.”
Silver-rated Latorre, meanwhile, is set for his second WEC start after making his Le Mans debut in a Proton Competition-entered Porsche 911 RSR-19 last year.
“I’m very proud to take part of this adventure,” said the Frenchman. “We have everything on our side to have a fantastic 2022. I’m looking forward to sharing this with all the team and to build the best results possible.”
