FIA World Endurance Championship driver Sebastian Priaulx will make his GT3 debut in next month’s TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa as part of Inception Racing’s Gold Cup crew.

The 21-year-old has been named as a driver of the No. 7 McLaren 720S GT3, teaming up with full-time Inception drivers Ollie Millroy, Frederik Schandorff and Brendan Iribe.

Priaulx took part in the two-day 24 Hours of Spa official test last week ahead of his confirmation with the Optimum Motorsport-run team.

He has already raced at Spa this year, winning the GTE-Am class in the six-hour WEC race alongside his Dempsey-Proton Racing co-drivers Harry Tincknell and Christian Ried.

Priaulx’s upcoming Spa GT3 drive with Inception creates a program of three major 24-hour races this year, after he contested the Rolex 24 at Daytona with Sean Creech Motorsport in LMP3 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Proton a few weeks ago.

The Multimatic-contracted driver has also previously appeared in GT4 and Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by the Cayman Islands, which he won last year.

Inception Racing competes full-time in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup with Millroy, Schandorff and Iribe.

The trio won the Paul Ricard 1000km earlier this month to move into the Gold Cup championship lead with the same number of points as the Herberth Motorsport crew of Robert Renauer, Alfred Renauer and Ralf Bohn.

The maximum permitted driver ranking combination for a Gold Cup entry at Spa is Platinum/Silver/Silver/Bronze, while the Inception crew is Silver/Silver/Silver/Bronze with Iribe filling the latter designation. Pro-Am crews require two Bronze drivers.
