GFRIEND, aespa and NewJeans are among the artists set to perform at the 39th Golden Disc Awards in January.

South Korea’s Golden Disc Awards has announced the complete line-up for its upcoming 39th ceremony, which will take place over January 4 and 5 at the Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan. The awards ceremony shared its line-up in two waves on December 3 and 9, comprising a total of 21 acts over the two days.
Day one of the 39th Golden Disc Awards will include performances by popular K-pop girl groups like aespa, NewJeans and (G)I-DLE, along with singer-songwriters like BIBI and Crush. Rookie boy band TWS and the contestants of JTBC’s idol survival programme Project 7 will also take the stage, among others.
The second night will feature a special appearance from former girl group GFRIEND, who are preparing to reunite for their tenth anniversary in January. They will be joined by acts like ZEROBASEONE, ENHYPEN, IVE, as well as rookie groups izna, Nowadays and more.

Day one of the awards ceremony will be hosted by actress Park Eun-bin, who is best known for her lead role in 2023’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Meanwhile, the second day will be hosted by baseball player Lee Dae-ho and actor Park Bo-gum.
NewJeans have recently been embroiled in a legal conflict with their former label ADOR. Last week (December 6), the group addressed a lawsuit filed by ADOR in regards to their contracts, saying that “ADOR failed to properly assert that there were no breaches of the exclusive contracts”.
