The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sparked a friendly debate among Stephen King fans, by asking them to name their top three favorite film adaptations of his spine-tingling novels.

King crazies faced a daunting challenge when the Academy tweeted a collage featuring the posters of Misery (1990), The Shining (1980), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), It (2017), Carrie (1976), The Green Mile (1999). Gerald’s Game (2017), Stand By Me (1986), and The Mist (2007) with the caption, “If you could only keep three Stephen King film adaptations from this list, which ones would you pick?”
