‘Starfleet Academy’ Just Expanded Star Trek Canon With This New Character [Exclusive]

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Star Trek: Starfleet AcademyStar Trek: Starfleet Academystands out not just for its setting, which returns to the 32nd century that was established in Star Trek: Discovery, but also for its unique class of cadets. Each cadet either plays against Star Trek conventions or brings something new to the table: protagonist Caleb Mir (Sandro Rostra) has grown disillusioned with Starfleet following an incident that led to his mother's disappearance, while Jay-Den Kraag (Karim Diané) is a Klingon more interested in science than in war. One of the more interesting characters is Darem Reymi (George Hawkins), who is from a species briefly referenced in the Star Trek universe.
