One of the Emmys' Most-Snubbed Fantasy Dramas Is Still a Masterpiece of Television

To no one's surprise, the dramatic categories for the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations are packed with the names on everyone's lips. Think Severance, The Pitt, and The White Lotus — television seasons that captivated audience imagination and either met or surpassed technical standards. Logistics prevent every single award ceremony from nominating every single project and individual whose work deserves recognition; something will always fall short of making the cut or escape the voting body's notice. At this point, however, it can also be safely argued that the absence of a certain series from this year's nomination list has shifted from a potential oversight to a glaring omission.
