Once The Penguin aired on HBO, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that this series would receive awards attention. The crime drama set in the world of Matt Reeves’ The Batman has landed 24 Emmy nominations, which is the second most nominations for a comic book-based series behind Watchmen. Among the nominations are for the categories of stunt performance, writing, casting, cinematography, and a slew of other production accomplishments, as well as lead actor nominations for bothColin Farrell and Cristin Milioti, but in the Limited Series or Anthology category, which begs the question — will DC Studios and Warner Bros. bring The Penguin back for Season 2 after all this award recognition?
