Every year, for like, the first few months of the year, people who like to watch a lot of movies will probably have things to say about the Academy Awards. Some people like them, some people are indifferent, and some people like to hate them. There might be some other options, too. Anyway, in 2026, it’s the 98th Academy Awards, the nominations for which were announced on January 22, 2026, and the ceremony itself (honoring the movies that got a wide release in 2025) is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026.
