Bella Ramsey Makes an Excellent Argument About Gendered Awards for Actors

Bella Ramseyis one of the biggest stars on television right now. Their work in the hit HBO series The Last of Us has been recognized by awards ceremonies for Season 1 and with Season 2 centering on Ramsey's character, Ellie Williams, chances are that they will find the same success. The problem is that Ramsey identifies as non-binary, so putting them into "Best Actress" categories doesn't necessarily fit Ramsey's gender identity. It is an issue that many non-binary performers have been facing in recent years.
