The 28-year-old was captured walking through Gare du Nord train station in Paris on December 10 surrounded by multiple bodyguards as the paparazzi followed him.

The photographer said, "we love your work" as the Euphoria star boarded the elevator.

The exchange caused some debate among viewers, with some saying the actor's reaction was over-the-top.

"He would've been fine all alone. The security made everyone notice him and look at him, and the security looks ridiculous, like a publicity stunt😂. This whole thing is so cringe," said one.

"You're in the public with everyone else, you have to behave like everyone else. Or don't take the Eurostar," another said.

"He is famous because of people and he acts like that?" one questioned.

"Whoever this 'celebrity' is, just get over yourself. If you want to fade into the crowd, just wear a Covid type mask and then problem solved," one shared.

Many fans defended the Frankenstein actor and his right to privacy.

"This is honestly heartbreaking 💔Fame is not a free pass for the world to ignore someone's boundaries. Paparazzi may choose this profession, but that doesn't take away a person's right to exist without being hunted," one said.

"You can love someone's work without making their life harder to live. Jacob deserves the same basic humanity and space as anyone else."

Another added, "Imagine being a star, and being constantly followed and filmed by strangers who said 'I love you'. It's not love bro, this is harassment."

Elordi has previously spoken out about the toll of the media, sharing that he almost quit acting when he first became famous.

"[That] might sound quite sensitive and dramatic, but I am sensitive and I'm very dramatic," he told GQ in 2022, while recalling the first time he was photographed by paparazzi.

"I hated being a character to the public. I felt so far from myself

"It felt like, all of a sudden, I was a poster. Like I was a billboard... for sale. Then my brain went through the wringer. It creates a very paranoid way of living."
