Yes, 'Doctor Odyssey' Just Delivered Joshua Jackson in a Threesome Scene

All of Max, Avery and Tristan’s Doctor Odyssey sexual tension has come to a head in the Thursday, November 7, episode.

After the medical team saw to an array of disasters during the cruise’s glam wedding for Kelsea Ballerini’s character, they contemplated their own dreams. (The ceremony’s groom appeared to jump off the upper deck in the midnight hour.)

“I have one more piece of business. If there is any silver lining to be found from this week’s tragedies, it’s that it gives us a chance to take stock of life of what’s important to us,” Joshua Jackson, who plays Dr. Max Bankman, said. “So, inspired by our very own Avery Morgan, I have an assignment: bucket lists.”

He added, “I want each of you to give me five life goals, and then I want to make a pact right here tonight that we’re all going to help each other achieve them.”

Tristan (Sean Teale) was up first and shared his hopes to learn how to kite-surf, break a world record, own a dog and a house, fall in love, capped off with having a threesome.

“Before the dogs, before the marriage, before the kids, [I want] to have a three-way,” he quipped.

Avery (Phillipa Soo) was subsequently stunned that her fellow nurse had never had a threesome, considering that he “literally [has] a girl at every port.”

“Well, they’re really difficult to organize,” Tristan explained. “People get drunk, they pass out, they get cold feet. I don’t know.”

Upon Avery’s turn, she also laid out sentimental goals that included traveling the world and becoming a doctor. Avery also proclaimed that she wants “to know myself” and perform theater again after quitting in childhood. (Soo, 34, herself is an accomplished Tony-nominated Broadway veteran, who has starred in shows such Hamilton, Amelie, Camelot and Into the Woods.)

For her final bucket list item, she copied Tristan’s call for a ménage à trois.

“Was that not five? I guess, I’ll steal Tristan’s,” Avery added. “Threesome, baby.”

Max similarly proclaimed that he wanted to have a “good” threesome after the trio moved the conversation back to his portside suite.

“That particular box has been checked. I’m a little insulted that you’re both so surprised,” Max said when Tristan and Avery were stunned to hear that he previously dabbled in a ménage à trois. “I was kind of a hot ticket in college. I mean, I wasn’t enough of a hot ticket ‘cause, ultimately, they were way more interested in each other than they were in me. I was more of an audience member than I was a participant.”

While Max made a pact to keep further details private, he admitted to wanting to have a better trio encounter.

“I’ll give up learning French for that [and pick] have a good threesome,” he said.

After exchanging soulful glances, Avery spoke up first and proclaimed that she was “game.”

“What? It’s on all of our lists,” she said, seductively setting her glass of champagne on the table.

Tristan then rose from his seat across the room in order to kiss Avery, with whom he’s had a longstanding crush. As Tristan kissed down her neck, Avery looked back at Max. They then shared their own passionate embrace before the cameras cut to black.
