The 2026 Oscars are gearing up to be more star-studded than usual.
Conan O’Brien is set to host the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 15, hosted at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
“As the host, I’m sort of the human avatar or whatever. I’m the entryway for the person watching at home — the person the audience member can relate to,” O’Brien, 62, said in a press conference days before the awards ceremony. “My job is to always try and hit this very, very thin line, I think, between entertaining people and also acknowledging some of the realities.”

Sunday’s Oscars will be O’Brien’s second year in a row hosting the show.
“It’s not necessarily about being 100 percent funny all the time,” he added. “Sometimes there are moments where it’s my job to move us along to the next moment.”
O’Brien won’t be the only one taking the stage. There are tons of A-listers confirmed to present and others gearing up for some major performances.
“This year, our music performances are inspired by two of the most powerful cultural phenomena in film,” Oscars executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor and executive producer Katy Mullan shared in a statement, sharing that the performances will celebrate Sinners and KPop Demon Hunters.
