The cast of the musical Shucked gave an awesome performance at the 2023 Tony Awards!
Tony winner Alex Newell and the rest of the cast performed a medley of songs on Sunday night (June 11) at the United Palace Theatre in New York City’s Washington Heights.
The cast of Broadway’s new corn musical did a medley of “Corn,” “Independently Owned,” “Somebody Will,” and “Woman of the World.”
Joining Alex were Grey Henson, Ashley D. Kelley, Andrew Durand, Kevin Cahoon, Caroline Innerbichler, and John Behlmann, plus the ensemble.
Alex made history at the show to become the first openly non-binary performer to ever win a Tony Award for acting.
