The Bold and the Beautiful's Jacqueline MacInnes Wood casually reveals secret pregnancy in fan newsletter

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is one step closer to having her own basketball team.

That's right, the 37-year-old The Bold and the Beautiful star is expecting her fifth child, burying the surprise revelation she's actually almost seven months pregnant in the middle of her weekly newsletter.

"I'm almost [seven] months pregnant! Our family is beyond excited, and my kids are over the moon," MacInnes Wood wrote under the title "And a little secret..." this week.

She continued: "It's such a special time in our home – so much love, energy, and anticipation!"

"So yes, there's a lot going on over here – ha! But I wouldn't have it any other way," she then wrote in her concluding paragraph.

MacInnes Wood, of course, is best known for playing stylish heiress Steffy Forrester Finnegan on the long-running soap opera.

Since she took on the role in 2008, she has taken home the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series three times: first in 2019, then in 2021 and 2023.

The role that's MacInnes Wood's favourite is, however, being a mother – she shares sons Rise, six, Lenix, four, Brando, two, and Valor, 18 months, with Elan Ruspoli.

"I'm a mama bear," she told First For Women in March 2024.

"And I feel like I've never been more authentically me than I am now."

MacInnes Wood, who was born in Windsor, Canada, and moved to Toronto to pursue her acting career when she was 18, announced her engagement to Ruspoli – a Creative Artists Agency talent agent – in November 2017.

The couple eloped in July 2018, welcoming their first child eight months later in March 2019.
