Tems took over the 2023 Academy Awards red carpet on Sunday (March 12) with a stunning dress!
The 27-year-old Nigerian songwriter, who was nominated for Best Original Song for “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, wore an amazing Lever Couture gown, which mimicked a blooming orchid.
While the dress itself was stunning, some took issue with how the headpiece of the dress blocked the views of others at the Oscars.

During the ceremony, Tems was seen sitting in the middle of a section, and seemed to be blocking the views of a few people who were sitting behind her.
While they presumably haven’t said anything about Tems‘ dress, others on social media have, calling out how she knew she would be blocking views.
However, many others are stand up for her and arguing that probably wasn’t her intention at all, and also cite Lady Gaga‘s past outfits for blocking views as well.
