Scarlett Johansson looked glamorous at the 2025 Oscars.
The actress, 40, walked the red carpet ahead of the Sunday, March 2, awards show at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Johansson wore a navy Mugler Couture gown from the FW 99/00 collection, pairing the look with jewelry from De Beers and a slicked-back updo.
Johansson presented the award for makeup and hairstyling the ceremony with June Squibb, who stars in Johansson’s upcoming directorial debut. While ScarJo has yet to win an Academy Award herself, she was previously nominated in two categories in 2020, receiving nods for Best Actress for her role as Nicole Barber — a woman in the midst of a divorce and custody battle — in Marriage Story and for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of anti-Nazi mother Rosie Betzler in Jojo Rabbit.
Johansson attended without her usual date, husband Colin Jost. The couple tied the knot in October 2020 after three years of dating and are parents of son Cosmo, 3. (Johansson also shares daughter Rose, 10, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.)

Prior to the Oscars, Johansson and Jost, 42, attended the SNL 50 Anniversary Special in New York City on February 16. The NBC sketch comedy series holds special significance for the pair since they met when she hosted for the first time in January 2006 during his first season as a writer on the show.
In his 2020 memoir, A Very Punchable Face, Jost recalled his initial encounter with Johansson, describing her as “beautiful, smart, sweet and intimidatingly sophisticated” and having “a grace and a smile that I’ve still never seen in any other human.”
“She [had] just turned 20, and I was 23, but in terms of status and maturing she was here [holds hand above head] and I was here [holds hand one inch off ground],” he wrote. “She claims that she remembers thinking I was ‘cute,’ but I know what I looked like and that’s not the word I would have used. (‘Shaggy’ would have been generous. ‘Slovenly,’ more accurate).”

In the week leading up to the Oscars, Jost made headlines when he revealed that he once searched a dozen dumpsters after Johansson misplaced her engagement ring.
“My wife actually lost her engagement ring,” he shared during an episode of Pop Culture Jeopardy!, noting that Johansson thought she “accidentally threw it in the trash.”
Jost added, “I looked through 12 dumpsters of trash.”
While Jost was disappointed during his hunt for the bauble, he received some good news when he returned home.
“I went back to the house and she said, ‘Oops! It was in my pocket,’” he recalled. “It was a great day for me.”
