Sinead O'Connor's cause of death has been revealed one year after her passing.
The Irish Independent reports Dublin-born O'Connor's cause of death was obstructive pulmonary disease and Asthma.
The publication cited her death certificate, which reportedly stated the Grammy Award- winning singer's death was caused by "exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma together with low grade lower respiratory tract infection."

O'Connor's death was formally registered by her former husband, John Reynolds, in London on July 24.
According to the Irish Independent, Julian Morris, senior coroner for Inner South London certified the singer's death following a post-mortem examination.

O'Connor died on July 16, 2023 at age 56.
In a statement to RTE at the time, the singer's family said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad.
"Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time."
She was best known for her hits such as Nothing Compares 2 U and Drink Before the War.
Her career began singing on the streets of Dublin, Ireland, before she rose to international fame.
She achieved success with her 1987 debut album, The Lion and the Cobra, but is was three years later when she released a cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U that saw her skyrocket up the charts.
O'Connor's performance topped charts from Europe all the way to Australia, with a promotional video featuring the grey-eyed O'Connor in an intense close up.

Sadly, just two weeks before her death, O'Connor had announced plans to release new music.
"Hi All, recently moved back to London after 23 years absence. Very happy to be home :) Soon finishing my album," she wrote on Facebook.
"Release early next year :) Hopefully Touring Australia and New Zealand toward end 2024. Europe, USA and other territories beginning early 2025 :)."
