"Being the ex wife, even though our family is very connected, is an interesting position," Moore explained
"So much fell on Emma to really figure this whole thing out, and the most beautiful thing was recognising the importance for caregivers and that they have to take care of themselves.
"If they don't put that time into making sure that they're okay, then they can't show up for anyone else."

Heming Willis has been vocal about her role as Willis' caregiver since he was diagnosed in early 2023 and has shared multiple updates on his health journey and their life together – some heartbreaking, some happy.
"I have so much compassion for Emma," Moore continued in conversation with Oprah of Heming Willis' dedicated care for her husband.

"There's no way that anybody could have anticipated where this was going to go and I really think she's done a masterful job, she has been so dedicated to forging the right path, she's had equal amounts of fear and strength and courage in navigating this."

Moore's comments come days after Heming Willis revealed that Willis is now living in a separate home to his family – a decision that she has since received a lot of criticism for.
On ABC's Diane Sawyer Special, Heming Willis said Willis had moved out of the family home and into a nearby property designed specifically for his needs with access to round-the-clock care.
"It was one of the hardest decisions that I've had to make so far," she said, explaining the aim was to creator a safer environment for Willis.

Later, in an Instagram video she revealed the criticism she's faced from the public after the interview – something she says she had sadly anticipated.
"The opinions are so loud and they're so noisy. But if they don't have the experience of this, they don't get a say," she said.
"Too often, caregivers are judged quickly and unfairly by those who haven't lived this journey or stood on the front lines of it," she elaborated.
"Sharing openly may invite opinions, but more importantly, it creates connection and validation for those actually navigating the realities of caregiving every day."
