OPINION -- If you saw the latest photos of Nicole Kidman out and about in recent days, you'd be forgiven for forgetting she was just part of the biggest news story of the year.
Just over a week ago, news broke that Kidman's 19-year marriage to country music star Keith Urban was over, with the actress herself confirming the news just a day later by filing for divorce.
But while most of us would be taking to our beds following the end of a two-decade relationship, Kidman is giving very clear 'No f--k's given' vibes by popping up for a series of very public appearances, first in the US and then at Paris Fashion Week, where she wowed fans with a new look – just before announcing a lucrative new gig.
Kidman, 58, appeared overnight at the Chanel Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show, which is part of Paris Fashion Week.
She posed on the red carpet in a white shirt and light denim jeans combo, and was photographed sitting front row beside the likes of model turned singer and actress Vanessa Paradis.
She also posed alongside her two daughters with Urban, Sunday, 17, who walked the runway for Dior at its Paris Fashion Week show on October 1, and Faith, 14, who recently made her print modelling debut.
Also there was Kidman's niece, Lucia Hawley, whose mother Antonia has been Kidman's 'rock' in recent weeks.

Antonia reportedly rushed to be by her older sister's side as news broke of the high-profile couple's split, with the siblings photographed on a hike near the Nashville home Nicole and Keith shared with their two daughters prior to him moving out over the US summer.
But if you thought Kidman was going to retreat from public life to lick her wounds for long, you were mistaken.
Just four days after the Babygirl actress filed for divorce from Urban, amid rumours he had already moved on with a younger female musician, she appeared on stage at the amfAR (Foundation for AIDS Research) Inaugural Dallas Gala in Dallas, Texas, on October 4 to present an award to Taylor Sheridan.
Sheridan is a writer and director who created Yellowstone and Kidman's show Lioness.
Kidman told the audience at the gala "we are better when we look out for each other" – something many thought hinted at the tough time she had been going through.
"I think what Taylor recognises, as we all do, is that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we are better when we look out for each other, and that of course is why we're here tonight," she said.
"What better way to support, to elevate our common humanity than to help fund bold and innovative research."
Kidman looked stunning at the outing, wearing a figure hugging black dress and with her long hair parted and tucked behind her ears.
But just two days later, Kidman appeared with a new look – the front of her hair has been cut into soft, long bangs that framed her flawlessly made-up face for her Paris Fashion Week outing, which unveiled the work of Chanel's new creative director, Matthieu Blazy.
It coincided with the announcement Kidman was the new house ambassador for the luxury brand.
"I am thrilled to be joining Chanel as it begins its new chapter with Matthieu at the helm," Kidman said in a statement per Marie Claire.
"As someone who has such an appreciation for haute couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu's vision for the oldest haute couture house still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations."
Kidman's latest appearance – her second in just three days and with her daughters by her side – comes just days after Urban resumed his High and Alive World Tour in Pennsylvania, where he performed without his wedding ring for the first time.
He also dropped one of his biggest hits, The Fighter, from the setlist after the song, which was inspired by Kidman, sparked controversy when it was revealed he recently changed some of the lyrics to mention his guitarist Maggie Baugh.

But if rumours Baugh, 25, might be the younger woman Urban has reportedly moved on with are bothering Kidman, she didn't show it.
In fact, her two public appearances are demonstrating that Kidman is refusing to lay down in the midst of her second marriage breakdown.
Instead, she is proving by getting straight back out in the public eye – and with a coveted new advertising deal under her belt – that she will not be hiding away or treated as some sort of scarlet woman.
While countless news stories over the weekend tried to paint Kidman's acting roles as the reason for her marriage breakdown, she is having none of it.
No, this Queen is not only showing up, but looking better than ever in what can only be perceived as a middle finger to anyone who is trying to paint her as either a villain or a doormat.
In fact, it is business as usual for the award-winning actress and producer, who was famously caught celebrating her divorce from Tom Cruise – something she later denied, but quite frankly, no one was buying.
We may well see similar scenes when she finalises her divorce from Urban.
And maybe, just maybe, Kidman's third act will be even better than the last.
