Nagarjunas son Akhil Akkineni and Zainab Ravdjee get married in a dreamy ceremony

Actor Akhil Akkineni has officially begun a new chapter in his life. The Telugu star, son of veteran actor Nagarjuna, tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee in an intimate wedding held at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, on June 6.

The couple, who got engaged in November 2024, looked regal in traditional white attire as they exchanged vows in the presence of close friends and family. The wedding was a private affair, but photos from the ceremony have since gone viral on social media. The venue itself holds special meaning for the Akkineni family, Annapurna Studios was established by Akhil’s grandfather, the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao. It’s the same place where his brother Naga Chaitanya’s wedding was previously held, making the location deeply symbolic for the family.

The ceremony was attended by several prominent names from the Telugu film industry, including actor Ram Charan, who was among the first to arrive. Akhil's half-brother Naga Chaitanya and his rumoured partner Sobhita Dhulipala were also seen taking part in the baraat.

Zainab Ravdjee has generally kept a low profile despite coming from a well-known Hyderabad-based business family. She is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee. A perfumer and entrepreneur, Zainab is also known to be an artist and shares occasional glimpses of her creative work on social media. Although not much is publicly known about her, she has made a name for herself in both business and artistic circles, maintaining a private lifestyle far removed from the spotlight of cinema.

The couple kept their relationship away from the public eye until late 2024, when Akhil introduced Zainab on Instagram, writing, “Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.” His father, Nagarjuna, also welcomed Zainab into the family with a heartfelt message: "We couldn't be happier to welcome Zainab into our family. Please join us to congratulate the young couple and wish them a lifetime filled with love, joy, and your countless blessings."

Professionally, Akhil is gearing up for his next film Lenin opposite Sreeleela, following the lukewarm response to his previous release Agent.
