Lady Gaga gave a special shout-out to fiancé Michael Polansky at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
While accepting Artist of the Year on Sunday, September 7, the “Bad Romance” singer dedicated the trophy to her partner.
“Thank you Little Monsters, my fans, for always supporting me and always supporting the monster in me and to my partner in all things, Michael,” she said from UBS Arena in New York. “Creating this year with you was a beautiful, beautiful dream, and you have been my partner every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, my love.”
While Gaga, 39, wanted to enjoy the full show, she told the audience that she had to quickly travel to Madison Square Garden to perform a sold-out show.

“I [also] dedicate this award to the audience,” she continued. “You very much deserve a stage to shine on, and I give you all my applause.”
Gaga bested six other nominees to win the category during this year’s awards show.

The way you move through your life is iconic and rare. It is entirely yours.”
