Jamie Dornan Uses Handcuffs to Make 'Fifty Shades' Joke While Accepting an Award

Jamie Dornan definitely has a sense of humor when it comes to his past role in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise!

The 39-year-old actor referenced his work as Christian Grey while accepting an award at the 2022 Oscar Wilde Awards on Thursday night (March 24) at The Ebell Club in Los Angeles.

In previous years, honorees at the awards show have been presented with a highlight reel to show key moments in their career, but Jamie didn’t get one. So he made a pretty funny joke about it!

“In the absence of a reel, I’m just going to act out my entire career. Only the things you know best,” Jamie said while whipping out a pair of handcuffs.

He jokingly added, “I’m going to need a participant from the audience.”

Jamie talked to People at the event about being part of the Oscar-nominated movie Belfast.

“I am just beyond proud to be from that part of the world and to tell a story that resonated with so many people across the world, and maybe change some people’s opinion of that part of the world, in the north of Ireland and Belfast, and the people and the hard-working families,” he said.

Jamie was joined on the red carpet that night by someone very special!
