Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams brought the heat to the 2026 Golden Globe Awards!
The breakout stars of Heated Rivalry took the stage at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Sunday, January 11, to present the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television to Erin Doherty from Adolescence.
“Hi, I’m sorry. It’s a little, uh, nerve-racking here being at our very first Golden Globes,” Storrie, 25, told the star-studded crowd while feigning anxiety.
“Just take a deep breath and picture everyone in the audience … you know,” Williams, 24, advised.

“Oh, yeah, I don’t really know if that works considering everyone’s seen us … you know,” noted Storrie, who wore a black Saint Laurent suit to the awards show.
Williams, who sported a white Giorgio Armani jacket with black pants, then asked his costar whether he thought everyone in the crowd had watched Heated Rivalry, to which Storrie replied, “That’s a maybe, but their trainers have, and their moms have, and their daughters have.”
The Golden Globes marked Storrie and Williams’ first appearance at an awards show since they shot to fame overnight with Heated Rivalry, in which they portray professional hockey players turned secret lovers Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander, respectively.
The first season of the steamy romance series — which originally streamed on Canadian platform Crave before being picked up by HBO Max in the U.S. — concluded on December 26, but Storrie and Williams are still in the midst of a massive press tour. Williams made his late night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, January 7, and Storrie is scheduled to appear on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday, January 12, for his own first major TV interview.

“I kind of just turn into a deer in headlights every time,” Williams told Jimmy Fallon of adjusting to sudden fame. “I’m not used to that.”

Heated Rivalry creator Jacob Tierney adapted the critically acclaimed show from author Rachel Reid‘s Game Changers novels. The 2019 book Heated Rivalry served as the foundation for season 1, and season 2 will be based on 2022’s The Long Game, which continues Ilya and Shane’s story. Storrie and Williams are set to reprise their roles.
“I don’t have details. I have not started writing, so I’m not just trying to be evasive. I genuinely don’t know yet,” Tierney, 46, recently told Deadline. “I’m so lucky to have a whole world of books here to grab things from, to use, to add color, to add context, to add story. I can tell you I’m really excited to get back to writing. I’m excited to get back into this world.”
Why ‘Heated Rivalry’ Isn't Eligible to Compete at the Emmys
Tierney noted that Heated Rivalry “will always be centered around Shane and Ilya,” but in the same way that season 1 incorporated Scott Hunter and Kip Grady from the 2018 novel Game Changer, season 2 could include “loads of other things” from the book series. (In the show, François Arnaud starred as hockey player Scott, and Robbie G.K. portrayed his barista boyfriend, Kip.)
“That’s pretty exciting,” Tierney added, “so I’m looking forward to really digging into this world.”
