Whether you're a reality fan or maybe you prefer a good drama, there are 23 awards up for grabs covering each and every category.

Here's all the information you need to know ahead of this year's Logies

What are the categories at the Logies?

The categories at this year's Logies will look a little different to what viewers are used to.

They have undergone several updates ahead of the 2024 event in an attempt to keep up with the modern television landscape.

Some of the changes include keeping just three awards titled as Most Popular, while the rest will now be named Best, combining the former titles of Most Popular and Most Outstanding.

Drama and Comedy have been separated in the acting category, a second news award has been added, the Comedy section has been split into Scripted Comedy and Comedy Entertainment, and the Reality section has been split into Competition Reality and Structured Reality.

How to vote at the 2024 Logies

Along with the changes to the categories comes some changes to the voting process.

Previously, the Most Popular awards saw nominees decided on by a panel of industry experts and a winner voted by the public, whereas the Most Outstanding awards winners were voted by industry experts.

The three Most Popular awards will still stay the same in terms of voting, and the recipient of the Hall of Fame Award will also be determined by industry experts.

But for the remaining 20 Best awards, Aussies will get their chance to have a say in who walks home with a trophy.

The winners of the Best awards will be determined by a combination of votes from the Australian public, viewing data and a score given by the judging panel.

Voting for all categories is now open with the cut off for the Best awards at 7pm on Saturday, August 17 and the cut off for the Most Popular awards at 7:30pm on Sunday, August 18.

To vote, just head to the TV Week Logies website here.

When are the 2024 Logies?

The Logies will take place this Sunday, August 18.

The event has jumped around from state to state over the past few years, but the 2024 Logies will follow suit of the 2023 event, with the awards set to be held at The Star in Sydney.

For those watching from home, the event will be broadcast on Channel Seven.

Who is hosting the 2024 Logies?

This year's host is comedian and Have You Been Paying Attention? presenter Sam Pang.

Pang also hosted last year's event, telling Now To Love he feels "very lucky" to be a part of the Logies for the second year running.

Who is performing at the 2024 Logies?

UK singer James Bay was the first performer announced for the 2024 Logies, but he won't be the only one taking to the stage.

After news broke that the Hold Back The River singer was confirmed to perform, it was announced that a number of Aussie musicians would also be putting on a show.

Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Missy Higgins are all set to take to the Logies stage.

Sebastian and Mauboy will be celebrating Aussie music legend John Farnham with a special performance alongside The Farnham band, while Higgins will be putting on a touching performance for the In Memoriam tribute.
