Red carpets are an opportunity for celebrities, since all eyes are on them. In some cases, they make the most of it with some truly jaw-dropping acts.
From smooches to sniffing, here are some of the most outrageous things we've seen on a red carpet.
Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey kiss
Scarlett Johansson and her Jurassic World Rebirth co star Jonathan Bailey dropped jaws yesterday after they locked lips at the premiere of the film.

Johansson caressed the Bridgerton star's face as they shared a kiss, with Bailey wrapping his arms around his co-star. As they pulled away they locked eyes and smiled, enjoying the playful moment.

The act itself isn't all that scandalous, but you must remember – Johansson has been married to comedian Colin Jost for five years and shares a daughter with him, while Bailey is believed to be in a relationship with a "lovely man", having publicly come out as gay in 2018.
Angelina Jolie kisses her brother
Johansson and Bailey are far from the only ones to lock lips on the red carpet, with Angelina Jolie having done so with her own brother, James Haven.
The sibling duo shocked other red carpet attendees of the 2000 Oscars ceremony when they shared a kiss before she won her Oscar for Girl, Interrupted.
During her acceptance speech for the Academy Awards, she said, "I'm in shock, and I'm so in love with my brother right now. He just held me and said he loved me and I know he's so happy for me, and thank you for that."

If that wasn't enough, they did the same thing 22 days later on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Two years after the smooches, Jolie clarified that saying she was "so in love with my brother" was "just an expression".
Zac Efron drops a condom on the (orange) carpet

High School Musical star Zac Efron took to the 2012 premiere of children's film The Lorax in a leather jacket, low-hanging skinny jeans, matching sneaker, a pair of sunnies, and some serious swagger.
But it soon became apparent where it came from, as the then-22-year-old pulled his hand out of his pocket to greet someone, only for a condom to tumble out and fall on the orange carpet.
Efron was seen quickly snatching it and handing the rest of them to his publicist, telling her "Oh my god" and spinning around in embarrassment before quickly resuming his posing.
He later told Today about the incident, "I never really had a pocket-checking policy prior to going on the red carpet before, but now we fully instated one."
Oscar Isaac sniffs Jessica Chastain's armpit
We may not have known exactly what was going on when actors Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain descended on the red carpet of the Venice International Film Festival in 2021, but it certainly was something to behold.
The pair made headlines with Isaac's weird method of "flirting" – intimately sniffing his co-star's armpit – especially since the both of them were and still are happily married to their own partners.

Chastain has been married to her husband Gian Luca Pasi De Preposulo since 2017, sharing two children with him, while Isaac has been married to Danish film director Elvira Lind for the same amount of time.
Isaac and Chastain have been friends for about 20 years, appearing in many projects together, such as 2014 film A Most Violent Year.
Amy Schumer falls in front of Kim and Kanye
A picture is worth a thousand words, they say. But at the time, we didn't know the whole story with this one.
In 2015, comedian Amy Schumer fell on the TIME 100 red carpet, right in front of the biggest celebrity couple back then – Kim and Kanye.
The pair didn't offer to help the comedian, instead awkwardly side stepping her as she lay there.
It turns out Schumer was waiting for a reaction. After the fall she revealed to TIME it was actually a stunt.
"'I saw them and said to my publicist, 'Can I pretend to fall?' and she said, 'I can't stop you,'" she said.

She later shared more about the moment on the Graham Norton Show, recalling she saw the stars "just owning it, just being short and important," and feeling like it would be "the funniest thing" to fall in front of them.
She noted that Kanye "did not crack a smile at any point."
