After nine years together, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially ended their relationship.
The couple shared the news in a statement, explaining that they are "shifting their relationship" to focus on co-parenting their four-year-old daughter Daisy.
While this may be Perry's longest relationship in the spotlight, it's not the first time she's had to publicly declare the end of a relationship.

Since skyrocketing to fame back in 2008, Perry has had several high-profile romances with other celebrities – one of which sadly also ended in divorce.
So, let's take a look back at Perry's dating history over the years.
Matt Thiessen
If you weren't already aware, Perry kicked off her career as a Christian pop singer.
She released her first album as Katy Hudson, before deciding to use her mothers name Perry, was self titled and included tracks such as Faith Won't Fall.

So, it's no wonder that her first partner after entering the industry was none other than Matt Thiessen, the guitarist from Christian rock band Reliant K.
The pair started dating in 2003 before calling things quits in 2005.
Johnny Lewis
After ending things with Thiessen, Perry moved on with Sons of Anarchy actor, Johnny Lewis.
The pair were only together for one year, from 2005 to 2006 – and it might be hard to believe but at the time, Lewis was definitely the bigger name in the relationship.
The couple dated right before Perry's career blew up, meaning at the time she wasn't really a known name.

So much so that when this photo was taken, the pair were described as "Johnny Lewis and guest".
Travie McCoy
After ending things with Lewis, Perry began dating Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy.
The couple began dating in 2007 and parted ways in 2008, the same years Perry blew up with the release of her second album One Of The Boys and lead single I Kissed A Girl.
When asked by MTV News about her feelings on the split in early 2009, Perry basically gave an "it is what it is" type answer, explaining that her focus was now on her career.

Josh Groban
Now, while this relationship was never confirmed at the time, we now know that Josh Groban was the muse behind one of Perry's biggest hits.
Perry and Groban were rumoured to have been dating around early 2009, however at the time representatives for both stars denied any romantic involvement.
Years later, in a 2013 interview with Details magazine, Groban reportedly described his and Perry's relationship by saying that the pair "skirted on the line of dating".
Then, on a 2017 live stream when Perry was asked to rank her former partners from best to worst, she said that Groban was "the one that got away".

The statement has since led fans to believe that her 2010 hit song The One That Got Away may have been inspired by her fling with the You Lift Me Up singer.
"I was not expecting that," Groban said when asked about the comment during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"That was a double take and a spit of my coffee when I saw that.
"It's very sweet of her to say that. I'm very flattered by it. But I was very surprised by it too."
Russell Brand
Toward the end of 2009, Perry began dating British actor and comedian Russell Brand, and it soon turned into a whirlwind romance for the ages.

By October 2010 the couple were saying "I do" in an intimate wedding ceremony in India.
They tied the knot barely a year after dating. But after just 14 months of marriage, the pair were signing divorce papers, with Brand reportedly ending the marriage via text message.
In Perry's documentary Part of Me, fans got a glimpse behind the scenes of the singer carrying out a world tour whilst also dealing with her crumbling marriage.
A now infamous scene from the film shows Perry sobbing backstage before having to quickly compose herself to step out in front of thousands to perform.

In an interview with Vogue, the singer said that there were many reasons it didn't work out between her and Brand, claiming that one of them was the fact he was intimidated by her success.
"I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they're like, I can't handle the 'equalness'," she said.
"He didn't like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour."
Robert Ackroyd
In 2012, Perry began seeing Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, but we don't know if it was ever that serious.

"[It's] not even appropriate to label [us a couple]," Perry told USA Today at the time.
"There are times I go out and meet people and flirt, but it's not really appropriate to have anything serious."
John Mayer
Following her divorce, Perry's first serious relationship was with singer John Mayer.
The pair began dating toward the end of 2012, breaking up in 2014 and then getting back together briefly in 2015 before officially calling it quits.

While neither revealed the reason for their split, multiple sources shared that the pair simply had different lifestyles and once again citing Perry's career as a potential factor.
A source told People that with Perry set to embark on her Prismatic world tour at the time of the separation, the couple knew they weren't going to be able to make it work.

"She's a smart girl," they said.
"She knows no relationship can survive that kind of distance and strain, and she's not going to slow down now when she's at the top of her game."
Diplo
After her split from John Mayer, Perry began dating DJ Diplo.
The pair weren't shy about their romance, hitting up plenty of events together, but they never really spoke about one another.
Things ended between the couple in March 2015.

Orlando Bloom
And of course, that brings us to Orlando Bloom.
The pair were first seen hanging out together in January 2016 at InStyle's Golden Globes party.
By February 2017, the couple had gone their separate ways, later rekindling their romance in January 2018.
Just over a year later, on Valentines Day 2019, Bloom got down on one knee and asked Perry to marry him.

The answer was of course a yes and the couple soon after welcomed their daughter Daisy in August 2020.
For five years fans waited for new of a wedding, but instead were devastated to hear that in July 2025, Perry and Bloom had decided to end their relationship.
After months of speculation, the couple confirmed the end of their relationship in a statement shared with Page Six after Perry had wrapped up the Australian leg of her Lifetimes Tour.

"Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," the statement attributed to a representative for the pair said.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."
