The Emmy Awards are one of Hollywood's biggest night of nights.
The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were held this week at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, with the likes of Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in attendance.
But this year, there were some big names noticeably absent from the event, including iconic actor Dick Van Dyke, 98, Zendaya, Nicole Kidman and Guy Ritchie.
Van Dyke was reportedly set to be a presenter and hand out one of the coveted gongs on the night.

The actor just recently received a 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special.
And the iconic actor, known for the likes of Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, reflected on his incredible career while answering press questions, according to People.
"I've been in the business 75 years. I can't believe that I'm still here and performing," he admitted.
He also reportedly joked: "I'm looking for work, if anybody has."

Van Dyke recently made history when he won a historic Daytime Emmy at 98 for his role on Days of Our Lives.
"I don't believe this. I feel like a spy from nighttime television," he said during his acceptance speech.
"I'm 98 years old. Can you believe it? This really tops off a lifetime of 80 years in the business.
"If I had known I would have lived this long, I would've taken better care of myself."
Who else was missing from the event this year?
While Zendaya always makes a stylish appearance on the red carpet at Hollywood events, this year, she was noticeably absent from the red carpet.
Unfortunately, the Euphoria star, 28, wasn't nominated for an award this year, but she has won in the past.
The actress has two Emmy Awards under her belt, winning the Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama Series award for Euphoria back in 2020 and 2022 for her role as Rue.
She has also been nominated another three times.
Guy Ritchie was nominated for the award for directing for a comedy series for his work on The Gentlemen, but the award went to Christopher Storer for The Bear. It's believed Ritchie missed the event.
Australian actress Nicole Kidman, who won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series of Movie in 2017 for her role as Celeste in Big Little Lies, was also missing.
Her Big Little Lies co-stars including Witherspoon and Laura Dern were in attendance this year.
But sadly for Kidman, she is grieving the loss of her mother Janelle Ann Kidman and last week rushed to leave the 81st Venice Film Festival early to be with her family in Australia.

In a touching letter that was read out on her behalf at the event, Kidman said she was "in shock" and said her late mother "shaped me, guided me and made me".
Nicole previously praised her mother in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.
"She's given me the fire to pursue the career I have because I've always wanted to please her," she said in 2020.
"But she also carved her own path and wanted her daughters to have the same opportunity to carve their own paths."
