Four years on from Shane Warne's shock death, his three children are forging their own paths

When Shane Warne died suddenly while on holiday in Thailand in March 2022, he left behind three heartbroken children Brooke, Jackson and Summer.

Aged 24, 22 and 20 at the time, the siblings, who were born during the cricket legend's marriage to Simone Callahan, were still in the early years of adulthood.

In the almost four years since then, all three of Warne's children have forged their own careers while continuing to keep their father's memory alive – read on to learn about what they are up to now.

Brooke Warne

Brooke Warne was born in Melbourne, Victoria, on June 27, 1997 – two years after her parents' lavish wedding ceremony.

At the time of her birth, Warne was 27 and had already established himself as the world's best leg-spin bowler.

Despite the rigours of playing international cricket, he revelled in being a dad and shared a close bond with his first-born child.

Brooke was educated at Firbank Grammar School in Melbourne, Australia.

She was eight when her parents divorced in 2005, although they later reconciled before splitting again.

During a December 2025 appearance on her brother Jackson's Warnes Way Podcast, she said she and her siblings went through a lot as kids due while growing up in the public eye, due to their parents' public divorce, reunion and split, various controversies surrounding Warne, and his on-off relationship with Elizabeth Hurley.

While Brooke grew up in the lap of luxury, her father instilled a strong work ethic in his children from a young age.

"For years, I worked in hospitality, delivering pizzas, events management – all over the shop," she told 7News in 2023.

After graduating high school in 2015, she studied event management at Swinburne University of Technology, before embarking on a career, first as an executive assistant and client relationships manager.

She also worked as an events assistant for poker identity Tony Hachem, and as a concierge, before moving into her current role as a Digital Content Creator and Brand Ambassador.

"I create content for brands to promote their services and products and I also create content for my audience," according to her LinkedIn bio.

Brooke is also an ambassador for the Shane Warne Legacy, which raises awareness of heart health.

However, Brooke told 7News she only truly found her passion after Warne's death, when she took her childhood love of food, fashion and social media and parlayed them into a career as an influencer.

"I think since I was little, I was always passionate about food, passionate about how food brings people together," she told 7News.

Brooke now 29, has 95,000 Instagram followers and a 70,000-strong following on TikTok, where she posts about makeup and fashion – most recently from Coachella – as well as cooking tutorials.

"I think people underestimate how difficult being a content creator, or an influencer, actually is," she told Sunrise in 2023.

Brooke Warne: 'We will do you so proud, Dad'

"It's not a 9-5 job where you clock on at 9am, finish at 5pm. Sometimes you're shooting on the weekends, sometimes you're shooting after-hours.

"But it's all part of it and I really enjoy it and I'm really grateful to be in the position that I am in."

Brooke has dated boyfriend Alex Health for more than five years. He was with her the night her father died.

During her December 2025 appearance on Warnes Way Podcast, she said she "couldn't breathe" when her grandfather, Shane's dad, rang to break the news he was gone.

Brooke said the things she missed the most about her dad was "the little stuff", such as "driving in the car, staying at Crown, eating a pizza".

She also said she was glad they made up before his death after a period of not speaking to each other.

"There was a stage that we didn't speak for a little while because we wanted to give each other space and as hard as that was, I think it was the best thing for our relationship," she said.

"If we both put our stubbornness aside earlier, we would have fixed our stuff earlier.

"I am very lucky that before everything happened with Dad we were able to figure everything out, which I am so grateful for."

Jackson Warne

Jackson Warne was born on May 20, 1999. He is the second child and only son of Shane Warne and Simone Callahan.

Jackson attended Brighton Grammar School, where he played tennis and tried cricket.

But after bowling four wickets from five balls during an Associated Public Schools of Victoria school boy match in 2015, he quit the sport after his father's proud Instagram post about the feat made headlines around the world.

"I played [cricket for] one year when I was at school, and one of the games got in the newspaper and made some articles," he told news.com.au in 2020.

"The whole pressure factor ... I could never be that good, I could never try to be that good. The pressure and expectations ... I just was not really interested."

He told Now to Love in 2020 that neither of his parents pushed him to follow in his dad's footsteps.

"There wasn't really that pressure [to be a cricketer] because at the end of the day, my mum and dad want me to be happy. They never really pushed me to play cricket or any other sports," he said.

After finishing school in 2017, Jackson travelled with his father. It was during the long plane flights that he learned to play poker.

Before too long, he was playing professionally, and was soon raking in thousands of dollars at poker tournaments.

In 2018, his proud dad announced on Instagram that Jackson was "dipping his toe in the modelling world".

It led to him developing an interest in health and fitness, and over the next couple of years he transformed his body, which led to an appearance on the 2020 season of SAS Australia.

Jackson, 21 at the time, said he hoped the show would help him step out of his father's shadow and prove his mental and physical strength.

His candid on-air admissions, including that he had only ever eaten 10 foods in his life, saw him become a fan-favourite, as did his comments on living in the shadow of his famous dad.

"It's been pretty frustrating my whole life," he said.

"Whenever I walk into a room or meet someone it's always, 'Oh, that's Shane Warne's son Jackson'. It's never, 'It's Jackson'. I just want to be Jackson'."

He quit the show during episode eight while attempting a gruelling 11-kilometre uphill pack run.

Then in March 2022 came the news of his father's sudden death.

Jackson told Nine's Today Extra in 2024 that in the wake of the tragedy, he decided to give up alcohol for a year because he "didn't want to resort to drugs and alcohol" to cope with the loss.

"I wanted to go to the other side, which was health and fitness, so when I did that whole year of no drinking it really did open my eyes to what's possible and what my body can achieve," he said

It led Jackson and some of his mates to found a new "luxury private social club" called Saint for people who want to go out and have fun without the hangover.

Then in August 2025 came another new venture: the Warnes Way Podcast, which sees Jackson delve into "mindset, fitness, grief and personal growth".

A recent guest was singer and a close friend of Shane's, Ed Sheeran.

Jackson, who has a 120,000-strong following on Instagram, has been a strong proponent of Shane Warne Legacy, which provides free health checks.

However, he caused controversy earlier this month during an appearance on the 2Worlds Collide podcast when asked if he thought the COVID vaccine caused his father's death.

"I definitely think it was involved, and I don't even think saying that is controversial anymore," he claimed.

"With the amount of data that's come out, even if Dad had underlying health issues, I think this brought it straight to the surface, and that's one thing I've always struggled with."

Jackson, now 26, has been dating model Kiah Broadsmith since 2021, with the two going Instagram official in December of that year.

Summer Warne

Summer Warne is the youngest of the three siblings and was born on October 12, 2001 in Melbourne.

She was just three when her parents split.

Five years later, her father's high-profile relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley saw her thrust into the public eye like never before.

She told Yahoo in 2023 some of her earlier memories were of being followed by paparazzi.

"I think from the age of eight, I was getting followed to school each day and there'd be cameras, and the teachers would have to tell them to leave me alone," she said.

In 2023, Summer made a surprise appearance on The Masked Singer Australia, moving the judges to tears with her rendition of her father's favourite song, Coldplay's Yellow.

"I want to make Dad proud," she said, per Yahoo.

"Singing Yellow was absolutely amazing – that song was his funeral song. Chris Martin sang it at the state memorial."

She said while she "never really took singing seriously, because I just didn't think I was good enough", she decided to go on the show because "no one's really going to know who I am".

"So shout out to my dad, because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't get this opportunity. I'm so glad I did it," she said.

"I think everyone loved Dad and he meant so much to Australia and the rest of the world. I think everyone was really proud and happy for me."

Since then, Summer has decided to try her hand at acting.

In 2024, it was announced she had been signed by talent agency Icon Management.

"A very warm welcome to @summerwarne to the ICON Actors family. We are so excited to have you on the team, Summer, and we look forward to a huge and exciting 2025 by your side."

Summer, now 24, will appear in the soon-to-be-released Aussie film, Juvenescence.

She will play Sarah Banks in the film, which is described as a coming-of-age comedy about four teenagers navigating their final days at high school.

She first shared a glimpse of herself in charcter on her Instagram Stories back in 2024.

The Elizabeth Hurley connection

Despite the fact they never married, the children have remained close to Warne's one-time fiancee Elizabeth Hurley and her son, Damian.

After Warne's death, the Bedazzled star offered her condolences to the siblings on Instagram, then paid tribute to Brooke and Summer on International Women's Day.

"I dedicate this #internationalwomensday to two brave, beautiful women @brookewarne and @summerwarne. I love you both so much and have the happiest memories of our times together. Your daddy loved you with all his heart," she wrote.

In 2024, they reunited in Melbourne when the actress and her son were guests at Oaks Day, with Brooke marking the occasion on Instagram.

"Today deserves a double upload," Brooke said in a post, "Special memories with this bunch, a special day with our special people!"

Inheritance

Victorian Supreme Court records showed Warne's estate was worth an estimated $20.7 million at the time of his death, with the bulk of the estate going to his three children.

They each received 31 per cent of his estate, worth about $6 milion each. The remaining 7 per cent was divided between Warne's brother, a niece and a nephew.
