Ewan McGregor shares sweet moment with family at Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony

Ewan McGregor has been immortalised with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and celebrated the career milestone with his family.

The Star Wars actor known for playing Obi Wan Kenobi in the widely popular series was joined by his wife, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead and four of his five children as he was honoured with a star on the famous Hollywood Boulevard.

McGregor shares four daughters Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk with his ex-wife Eve Mavrakis. He shares his fifth child and only son with Winstead.

As he accepted the honour at the esteemed event, McGregor gave a sweet shout out to all five of his kids.

"I was very lucky to work with my daughter Clara, here, on a movie called Bleeding Love. Had a better title before but some less creative people changed it," McGregor said, per People.

"What a privilege, I got to play Clara's dad and be Clara's dad at the same time."

He mentioned that his second daughter Esther was unable to attend the ceremony as she is currently working on an acting project in Canada.

His other two daughters, who aren't actors, were also present at the event.

"Anouk, who's too young to be [an actor] yet, is an amazing human being. I don't know what you're going to be, but we'll find out," McGregor said, per People.

Of his daughter Jayman he explained that she was pursuing a career as a homicide detective. 

"She is cutting her own path and we're so proud of you, Jamyan, for everything you're doing and for the things that you're going to do with your life," he shared.

And finally, McGregor turned his attention to his youngest Laurie. 

"And my little boy, Laurie down here. Laurie! This is Laurie McGregor. Do you want to say hello to everybody?" McGregor said introducing his son to the crowd, per People.

Six years ago McGregor left Mavrakis, to whom he'd been married for more than 20 years, and it sent shock waves through their family and Hollywood.

The couple cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the split. The news came after the actor was spotted kissing his Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead in London.

Both McGregor's eldest daughters Clara and Esther expressed their disappointment over the split at the time.

Since then it seems the tensions among the family have simmered down.

When McGregor and Winstead welcomed their first child Laurie to the world, both Clara and Esther shared their excitement on Instagram.
