Ciara Miller Almost Left 'Summer House' After Filming 1st Week Without Paige

Ciara Miller is pulling back the covers of what it was like filming Summer House without BFF and fellow bedbug Paige DeSorbo.

“It was definitely different,” Ciara, 29, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday, November 4, of returning to the Bravo series after Paige, 32, announced her exit.

Ciara revealed that both she and Amanda Batula felt Paige’s absence immediately after arriving at their shared house in the Hamptons.

“The first couple [of] weeks we looked at each other and we were like, ‘Should we dip? Should we get out of here?’” Ciara confessed. “But we stuck it out. I mean, we had each other, which was amazing, obviously.”

The model teased that with Paige gone, she and Amanda, 34, were “auditioning for bedbugs,” but it didn’t go well.

“We’re still trying to fill that role so we’ll see,” Ciara said, playing coy about whether she and Amanda found a new friend to get cozy with in their king bed this summer.

Ciara, Amanda and Paige were known for their “bed rotting” on Summer House, spending most of their time gossiping together in their pajamas before Paige confirmed her exit in June.

“I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House,” Paige wrote in an Instagram statement after season 9 finished airing on Bravo. “Being a part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable.”

Paige made her Summer House debut during season 3, which aired in 2019. Two seasons later, Ciara joined the cast and quickly became friends with Paige.

Throughout her time on the show, Paige became a fan favorite, but she revealed in August that she knew deep down it was right to leave before season 10.

“I’d like to say that I made this decision over months and months of thinking, and that is partially true,” Paige said on an episode of the “Bravo by Gays” podcast. “I definitely felt different leaving last summer. There was something where I, like, had this gut feeling [of], ‘This is probably the last time I’ll ever leave this house.’”

She noted that after going on her “Giggly Squad” podcast tour with Hannah Berner, she had to navigate “the most public breakup ever.” (Paige and Craig Conovercalled it quits in late 2024 after three years together.)

The split played a role in Paige’s choice not to return to Summer House for season 10. “When it came time to start thinking about the summer, I really just had a moment where I was, like, ‘Wait, I can’t go film a TV show, like, I’ll literally die,’” she confessed.

Her friends, however, were sad to see her go. “It sucks,” West Wilson said about filming without Paige during a July episode of his and Sophie Cunningham’s “Show Me Something” podcast.

While West, 30, and Ciara both struggled to adjust to a summer without Paige, the show must go on — and fans will get to see life after Paige’s exit sometime next year.

“Honestly, I don’t even know. It’s like, I’m there, but I have no idea what’s going on,” Ciara told Us on Tuesday of how she approached the latest season.
”I’m kind of just trying to get through it. I got my own stuff I’m worrying about, but it’s gonna be great.”

She teased, “It went a lot better than last summer,” with the addition of a few new faces, but viewers likely won’t see her find love.

Ciara told Us that she’s “at peace” with not dating anyone right now, joking, “I cannot imagine sharing my apartment with someone at this point.”

She added, “I mean, there’s another cat on my horizon, but we’ll see about the men’s department.”

In addition to a new season of Summer House, Bravo fans will be getting a spinoff called In the City with Amanda and her husband, Kyle Cooke, and fellow OG star Lindsay Hubbard reportedly costarring.

“In the city that never sleeps, a group of New Yorkers navigates the biggest transitions of their lives — marriage, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart,” the show’s description reads. “Can they have it all, or will they need to choose between the lives they’ve built and the futures they never saw coming?”

Ciara’s participation in the spinoff has not been revealed.
