Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari 'signed iron-clad prenup' before their wedding

If Britney Spears and her new husband Sam Asghari ever split up, her fortune will be well-protected. The couple reportedly signed an "iron-clad" prenuptial agreement before their wedding last Thursday.

According to TMZ, the document protects both of their wealth. If Spears and Asghari ever get divorced, he would not be able to access even a cent of the money that the pop star earned before tying the knot.

The outlet also reports Spears' team began preparing the prenup almost immediately after he proposed to her, back in November.

As of last year, the 'Circus' singer had a net worth of around US $60 million, according to The New York Times.

This isn't the singer's first time signing a prenup. Prior to her previous marriage to dancer Kevin Federline, the pair also had a prenuptial agreement in place. The couple share two sons, Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15.

Spears' sons didn't attend her wedding, nor did any of her family members. The 40-year-old has been estranged from her parents and sister Jamie Lynn after the star fought her conservatorship in court last year.

According to Page Six, her brother Bryan was the only Spears family member who was invited to the wedding –– but he also didn't show up.

It was later revealed, by his girlfriend Amber Lynn Conklin, that he couldn't attend because his daughter graduated elementary school (the equivalent of Year 5 in Australia) on the same day.

"Bryan felt terrible having to choose but he had to be there for his daughter and sent his love to Britney x1000000," the model wrote in an Instagram comment. "We are so sad to miss such an important moment but so so happy for Britney and Sam's Marriage!"

Britney's sister didn't make any comments about the wedding, but did like a handful of photos from the ceremony on Instagram. Their mum, Lynne, left a comment on Instagram celebrating her daughter, writing: "I am soooo happy for you! I love you!".

Spears and her long-time boyfriend Asghari got married at their mansion in California last week, after six years together.

The day didn't come without any hitches, though. After waiting for her conservatorship to end before being able to get married, their fairytale wedding was almost derailed when the singer's ex-husband Jason Alexander showed up at her estate, claiming he was there to "crash the wedding."

Spears and Asghari have since been granted a restraining order against Alexander, which dictates he must stay at least 100 yards away from the 'Toxic' songstress and her new husband.
