Former Grange Hill and Sweeney Todd actor Lee Whitlock has died aged 54.
The sad news was confirmed by his acting agency confirmed yesterday after the British actor is believed to have died on Friday.
"Saddened by the death of our client Lee Whitlock. Lee was a great character & a great actor who has left a legacy of brave & groundbreaking work achieved at a particularly young age," agency Urban Collective tweeted. "Lee was hugely entertaining, funny & positive to work with, condolences to family & friends. RIP."

The actor is understood to have passed away on Friday, however, no cause of death is yet to be announced.
Tributes have begun to sweep social media, with former star of The Bill and Coronation Street star Andrew Lancel among those paying their respects.

"I was always a fan of Lee Whitlock since Shine on Harvey Moon. Through his film and tv career I loved his work as did millions," Lancel wrote.
"It was a joy to work with him twice and to know him as a funny, gentle, lovely man. And fantastic actor. Gone far too soon."

In recent times, Whitlock recently appeared in films such as Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream in 2007 alongside Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor, and in 2008 Whitlock starred in Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd musical, which also featured Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.
Whitlock also played Sydney Chaplin, the younger brother of Charlie Chaplin in 1989 limited series Young Charlie Chaplin before doing stints on beloved Britain shows including A Touch of Frost, Soldier Soldier and Lovejoy.
