Bernadette Peters is giving an very emotional performance at the 2022 Tony Awards.
The 74-year-old two-time Tony Award winner took to the stage during the awards show to deliver a heartfelt tribute to the late Stephen Sondheim on Sunday night (June 12) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

While on stage, Bernadette performed a rendition of “Children Will Listen” from Into the Woods, which Stephen wrote the music and lyrics for.
If you didn’t know, Bernadette played The Witch in Into the Woods when it first debuted on Broadway in 1987.
Along with Into the Woods, Bernadette starred in several other musicals by Sondheim, including Sunday in the Park with George, Follies, and A Little Night Music.
Stephen Sondheim died in November 2021 at the age of 91.
