Ireland Baldwin is taking time to reflect on her life before her milestone 30th birthday.
The 29-year-old daughter of Hollywood stars Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger has shared a very raw opinion about her childhood and lessons she's learnt as her birthday approaches.
In a Substack blog titled 30, Flirty and Surviving she opened up about what she called a "lonely childhood" and claimed she no longer carries the weight of her "narcissistic, unreliable, addict family members."
In the post, she wrote that she "grew up without two parents in my home and no siblings to turn to."
But now looking at this new chapter of her life, she believes that she's moving into her 30s "with a lot less weight on my shoulders."
"This weight that was brought on by the need to continue to carry my narcissistic, unreliable, addict family members who I thought I needed in my life," Ireland explained in her blog post.
Ireland did not mention any specific family members within the blog post.

"I had a lonely childhood at times, which is why I grew up feeling like I needed to win over certain people in my own family. For whatever reason, their validation and praise was meaningful to me," she continued.
"Nothing was more freeing than finally realising how poisonous these people are. So, I inch into my thirties with an understanding that this is how you break these cycles."
Ireland, who is a mother now herself to two-year-old Holland, is parenting differently.
"My daughter doesn't have to know these people, and I can protect her from them," she continued.
"I can do my very best to construct my own idea of a family, piece by piece. And show how a real family treats one another."
Ireland shares Holland with musician RAC - whose real name is André Allen Anjos - and also detailed some of the experiences she had in her 20s, like meeting him and welcoming her daughter.

But the last decade wasn't all positive and she wrote, "10 years of pain. 10 years of not knowing what the hell I am doing or talking about, but still running my mouth anyway."
She went on to share a list of life lessons in bullet points, which included a nod to Basinger.
"Tell your mom you love her every single day. Text her when you get to where you're going. You will soon understand her in ways you never had," Ireland wrote.
She also reminded readers "you can't fix or change anyone … so quit while you're ahead."
Touching on body image, she also wrote repeatedly, "You are not fat."
Alec, 67, and Basinger, 71, married in August 1993 and welcomed Ireland two years later. The couple separated in 2000 and finalised their divorce in 2002.
He has previously spoke about his regrets when it came to his daughter while navigating their split.
"I must say that because my relationship with my daughter Ireland was so negatively impacted by my divorce from her mother and having a very protracted custody battle that the media really were having a party about everything," he explained earlier this year on his reality show The Baldwins.
He said the divorce "went on for seven years," of "which the financials were probably a year and a half and then everything else was custody."
But it seems as though he and Ireland have managed to mend their relationship in recent years.
In April she shared a sweet picture of her daughter with her dad to mark his 67th birthday, captioning the shot "Happy birthday to Peepaw."
