AFL star Lachie Whitfield marries partner Adelle Beckwith: 'Best day of our lives'

Congratulations are in order for AFL star Lachie Whitfield!

The Greater Western Sydney Giants player married his partner Adelle Beckwith over the weekend in a stunning ceremony on Victoria's Mornington Pensinsula.

"Best day of our lives!" Whitfield wrote to Instagram, sharing pics from their special day.

"We are so blessed 🥰," Beckwith gushed in a separate post.

Whitfield dressed dapper in a black suit and bowtie with a white dress shirt.

The bride stunned for the sunny day in a gorgeous strapless white gown by Australian designer Prea James Bridal with her hair up in a bun beneath a veil.

Her white bouquet was from Mornington Peninsula-based company Jo Laver Flowers.

Beckwith's bridal party were dressed in matching white mini dresses and bouquet for the day. 

The couple said 'I do' at the Jackalope Hotels on the breathtaking Mornington Peninsula.

After their gorgeous outdoor ceremony with the vineyards in the backdrop, the festivities continued with a lavish reception.

Beckwith had an outfit changed for the reception, switching into another white dress.

For her second outfit of the day, the bride opted for a mini dress with a tulle skirt and sheer lace long sleeves for a touch of chic.

At the reception, the couple were pictured by a friend cutting into their wedding cake.

The dessert, made by Something About Cake, was topped with 15 punnets of blueberries and measured in at 25 inches according to the designer cake shop on Instagram.

The Giants team commented some red heart-eyed emojis beneath Whitfield's post.

In a separate post the AFL organisation shared a photo of Whitfield on his wedding day alongside a photo of his teammate Harry Himelberg, who also got married this month. 

"Wedding season 💍" the caption read. 

The nuptials come nearly a year after Whitfield popped the question to Beckwith in December 2023 on Boxing Day.

Beckwith joined her partner as his plus one on the Brownlow Med red carpet just weeks ago on September 23, 2024.

She again supported him at the Kevin Sheedy Medal earlier this month, gushing on Instagram, "Forever proud of you 🤍".

Whitfield has recently made headlines after being fined for his involvement in a controversial comedy skit.
