MEGA Fashion Awards 2024 celebrates the production designers who work behind the scenes to push stories forward with their visual prowess
The MEGA Fashion Awards (MFA) 2024 honors the creative space-makers—the production designers. They curate the scene that brings a fashion or beauty story to life. These nominees know and understand how to design and conjure just the right set to make an image shine. When a set is well-designed, the subject not just performs or poses, but inhabits a carefully crafted and considered space. Below are the nominees for Best of the Year Production Designer.

Justine Arcega
While magazine editorials often appear effortless, they would not be possible without the talented hands of set designers, a major behind-the-scenes player. Among them: Justine Arcega, who constructs a backdrop with fastidious attention to detail. With artistic and innovative choices in material, color, shapes, props, and approach, Arcega crafts sets that are intriguing and visually appealing.
Her notable works with MEGA was the MEGA Ball 2024: Fashion + Food, MEGA’s May 2024 Anne Curtis cover, and MEGA Drag’s December 2023 Captivating Katkat cover.
Rocket Design Studio
As one of the standard bearers for production design, Rocket Design Studio is continuously stepping it up by aligning a set with its concept, tone, and story. The architect of a fashion story’s setting, Design Directors Miguel Alomajan and Rey John Legaspi, translate the vision of the creative director efficiently and eloquently.
Rocket Design Studio constructed the set of MEGA’s February 2022 cover featuring Nadine Lustre, MEGAStyle’s August 2022 cover starring Miles Ocampo, MEGA Man’s August 2022 cover on Rambo Nuñez, and MEGA Entertainment’s Jasmine Curtis-Smith cover for August 2022.
Aren Dale Santos
Aren Dale Santos of AdSet Prod has a knack for working out what can be fresh in the picture, and then arranging the elements to add dimension and depth. When designing, Dale Santos carefully analyzes how the fine and minute details will wordlessly inform, enhance, and elevate the story being told. While these details may not be consciously noticed by the audience, they’re subliminally absorbed as part of the narrative.
She worked with MEGA for the September 2023 cover featuring Atasha Muhlach, November 2023 cover featuring Angelina Cruz, Lorin Gutierrez Bektas, and Hannah Pangilinan, September 2022 issue featuring Gabbi Garcia, and February 2021 issue featuring Heat Evangelist-Escudero,
Ginger Event Styling
Ginger Gaddi of Ginger Event Styling’s not only transform venues into dream wedding locations but her team also has a knack for doing high-fashion editorial shoots. Her sets influences how the photographer or videographer will light or film the shot, the subject will perform and pose, and the manner in which the fashion will be presented. The creative spaces they construct contributes to the feel, mood, and tone of the fashion story and completes it.
The studio designed the backdrop for MEGA’s February 2024 Issue on 32 Best Emerging Designers. Ginger Event Styling also produced a lot of set designs for celebrity shoots, such as for Chie Filomeno and Yassi Pressman.
